Cheng-Hao Tu

I am an AI Engineer at Trend Micro in Taipei, where I am working on interactive chatbots. Before that, I was a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Appier, where I maintained and enhanced an LLM-powered Knowledge Bot with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

I was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, advised by Dr. Wei-Lun (Harry) Chao. My research mainly focused on transfer learning and adaptation. Before that, I was a research assistant at the MOST Joint Research Center for AI Technology and All Vista Healthcare (AINTU), National Taiwan University, advised by Dr. Chu-Song Chen. I worked on continual learning and image retrieval.

I received M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering, National Taiwan University, advised by Dr. Jane Yung-Jen Hsu at the Intelligent Agents Lab (iAgents). I worked on facial action unit detection.
